Sweet Caroline… the land girl!

Ok, so she has probably heard that Neil Diamond number more times than she can remember but I couldn’t help myself! Today, please let me introduce the wonderful Caroline; my new folkey friend and lover of all things British! Welcome to the fold Misses! I met Carolione just before Christmas after she found me online and ordered a wreath from me (which you can see here). I soon found out she wrote a wonderful blog and is a dab hand behind the camera. So, I roped her in and here we are! Caroline and I will be working (yeah right) on some pretty cool posts for you- but more of that later…

As you know, we now have an allotment and last Sunday, I took Caroline down to see what all the fuss was about. Following that, she wrote this lovely little number…

”One very cold Sunday recently I was invited to see Jay’s newest project, her massive allotment plot.  I hadn’t realised how big allotment plots are and wondered if I could ever take on the task when in a hundred years or so my local allotment will have a plot vacant for me.  Lucky for me, and perhaps not so lucky for Jay, I will be able to satisfy the cravings for outdoor gardening by helping out every now and then.

Jay has lots of plans and you can tell that she is more than capable of implementing every one. There are already beds ready for sowing and fruit bushes are planted.  Jay is working hard on getting more of the plot ready for Spring and, in addition to all the animals already there which are being shared with the neighbour, the plot is being prepared for 24 ducklings.
